Bidding started at just $100 for our single lot online sale of Beeple’s ‘Everydays: The First 5000 Days’, and ended today at a staggering $69,346,250. This marks the third highest price ever paid for the work of a living artist at auction and certainly a watershed moment in the history of digital art.
This was the first purely digital NFT-based work of art to be sold by a major auction house and set additional world records including highest price for any work of digital art, the highest price for any lot in an online-only auction and the highest overall total for any online-only auction to date.
Stay tuned as we continue to remain at the forefront of the digital art market in the months ahead!
